Based in London, I am studying in year 2 of my Illustration Animation BA, at Kingston School of Art. My day to day life influences my practice, whether that is my interactions and observations of people, places or the mundane activities that are often overlooked. I enjoy shaping narratives based on snippets of overheard conversation as well as shared stories, working in a playful, care-free manner I often switch up how I create my work, for example the material . I am continually curious about expressing a naive, personable sense to my work, I repeatedly use loose line as it allows me to be expressive whilst also evoking a strong sense of nostalgia. I use other accessible materials such as charcoal to capture movement fluid movements. I am particularly interested in printmaking, looking into pattern, shape and colour. I adapt many of my drawings by digitally editing them or by using printing techniques, for example, risograph. The child-like qualities to my work hopefully induce a feeling of sentimentality whilst also entertaining.
